A new 911 System went operational earlier this month in Marion County that will help speed up response times during an emergency.
The Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) has the ability to automatically gather information from the caller to save time Marion County 911 Coordinator Cassie Foster tells KTLO.
Foster recommends Marion County residents get the Smart 911 app on their cell phone or go to smart911.com and fill in your personal information. This is then integrated into the CAD system.
