At the Harrison City Council Meeting last week, Mayor Jerry Jackson announces a proposal to build a new Fire Department Substation in the downtown area near Creekside Community and Aquatics Center.
Jackson said after the new Fire Station 1 was build, the Harrison Fire Department has maintained a substation in the old location but said with extra land available around the Creekside facility, they could move the substation there which would keep a location in the downtown area but in a better, updated facility.
More on the proposal can be read in the Harrison Daily Times
