NARMC'S Santa Shuffle is Coming to Town

The North Arkansas Regional Medical Center's Santa Shuffle is coming to town.

The NARMC Foundation's Dan Dillard and Kinetic's Christy Almond appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" Santa Shuffle. The shuffle is on Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. Dillard said 500 to 600 participants are expected. Participants will wear full Santa suits provided by NARMC.

Registration is unlike any other race. The entry fee is a toy. Dillard said it's required that it's a new toy for kids from birth to high school age. On Dec. 4 and 5, NARMC will accept toys and participants will receive their Santa suit.

Online registration is open and required. There are two weeks left to register with over 200 spots left.

The race doesn't require running. Dillard said the one-mile course can function as a walking course too.

The Santa Shuffle in Harrison is one of the few in the nation. Dillard said he has discovered from research that it's one of close to 15 Santa Shuffle events in the U.S. for 2024.

Dillard explained that Internet Service Provider Kinetic is the shuffle's presenting sponsor. He said they are making the sixth annual event possible. Almond talked about why Kinetic partnered with NARMC.

She acknowledged the stress that can come with holidays. Almond said that Kinetic wants to help NARMC bring a better Christmas to the families the organizations serve.

He added that over 1,100 toys were collected last year. A large donation is expected this year. More was discussed on the broadcast.

The full interview with Dillard and Almond is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
