North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) has a lot going on this month, and "One Day Giving Day" is part of it.
NARMC's Dan Dillard and Kim Rosson appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to discuss all that's happening. Dillard pointed out that it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. NARMC takes the month to emphasize awareness and promote screenings. He said it's also a good time to raise awareness about cancer care in general.
In observation of the month, Dillard said NARMC will have its third yearly "One Day Giving Day." It's on Oct. 26. The event has grown from its conception.
This year, 40 businesses will participate in the NARMC event. Dillard said that 10% of proceedings that those businesses earn will go to the Claude Parrish Cancer Center.
