North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is hosting a run on April 6.
NARMC's Donor Relations and Grants Coordinator Dan Dillard and Digital Content and Marketing Coordinator Diana Bailey appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to discuss "Total Eclipse of the Run," which is scheduled to start at 7:45 p.m. It's a timed 5k race. Bailey said it will involve "glow gear." Festivities will start before the eclipse-themed race.
Dillard explained that the evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with "Solarfest" which will have inflatables, food trucks and vendors. A fire truck and ambulance are expected to stand by in case of emergency but also for kids to enjoy.
He added that the most recent addition to the evening is a "fire show" that will happen about 15 minutes before the race kicks off. The show will involve twirling and more.
Bailey said "Mirror Man" will perform throughout "Solarfest." Dillard commented on registration for the race.
The fees are currently $35 for adult runners and $30 for runners 18 and under; prices will increase after this Friday. Children four and under can participate for free.
Anyone wanting to walk can also participate. Registration is available online. More was discussed on the broadcast.
The full interview with Bailey and Dillard is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
