Murder Suspect from Baxter County Being Held in Boone County Detention Center

The suspect in a incident in Baxter County that killed one person is being held in the Boone County Detention Center.

According to KTLO, 36-year-old Daniel Robert Adams of rural Mountain Home has been charged with six felonies including murder in the first degree after a incident Wednesday in which two vehicles were involved in a high speed chase in which a female passenger in one of the vehicles called Baxter County 9-1-1 Dispatch to report they were being chased by another vehicle. The chase resulted in the crash that killed the driver of that car, serious injured the female passenger, and eventually resulted in the arrest of Adams.

Due to the dead man's mother being an employee of the Baxter County Detention Center, Adams was booked then transferred to Boone County where he remains jailed on those charges.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery tells KTLO that the incident remains under investigation.
