More information has been released from the National Weather Service in advance of a system that could bring heavy rain to the region.
A Flood Watch is already in effect for the Harrison area in northern Arkansas while a watch will go into effect for the rest of NW Arkansas this afternoon and for the Missouri Lakes Region this evening. While rain will begin to move in this afternoon, the heaviest rainfall is expected this evening and overnight with the biggest potential east of a Branson-Harrison line.
Strong winds are also possible, especially on Friday. Parts of northern Arkansas are already under a Wind Advisory for Friday.
Rain is expected to end Friday morning and after a brief cold period, temperatures are expected to rise back into the 60’s by Sunday.
