KANSAS CITY, Mo. — People Not Politicians Missouri says they collected more than 100,000 signatures for their referendum petition that would repeal the “Missouri First” congressional map.
However, the announcement from Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins says the signatures are invalid.
“The Secretary of State said that it was a crime to gather signatures and petition your government unless you had his approval? That is ridiculous!” said attorney Chuck Hatfield, who’s working with People Not Politicians.
