Ebony Mitchell is the 2022 winner for Miss Arkansas.
Mitchell said during KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Wednesday that winning this is the craziest feeling. "You compete for something for so long, and you really don't think it's possible because only one girl gets the opportunity to be Miss Arkansas," Mitchell said. She said there have been 84 people named Miss Arkansas; she is number 84. "I'm just so blessed and honored to be Miss Arkansas." There were 45 candidates for Miss Arkansas this year.
The Miss Arkansas winner started as a Princess as a 10-year-old. She's been doing this for 15 years. "I'm the first Miss Dogwood to be crowned Miss Arkansas, I'm the first Harrison High School graduate to be crowned Miss Arkansas," she said. Mitchell is also the first Princess to win the title. "We're hoping to set some more records here," she said. Mitchell grew up in Harrison.
