A minor earthquake has been reported in Marion County.
The Unites States Geological Survey says the 1.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 11:32 Wednesday morning and was centered 1.1 miles south of Yellville.
Experts say normally, earthquakes below magnitude 3 are rarely felt. However, smaller quakes from magnitude 2.0 can be felt by humans, if the quake is shallow, and if they are very close to its epicenter and not disturbed by ambient factors such as noise, wind, vibrations of engines, traffic, etc.
