A longtime area business is under new ownership.
An announcement posted in the Harrison Daily Times this week indicates that Methvin Sanitation has officially completed the selling of the business to Waste Connections, Inc.
Waste Connections is a company that serves many cities in both the United States and Canada. The announcement said that the local management team for Methvin will remain in place to operate the business.
Also, according to the announcement, the Methvin Family will continue to operate Medical Waste Services, LLC, with locations in six states including Arkansas and Missouri.
