This week's Missouri Department of Conservation Podcast includes information about the new K-9 Officer for the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Kearby Bridges, Stone County Conservation Agent, says that the K-9 Dog, named Astro, will be at the Ozark Empire Fair in Springfield giving demonstrations beginning Monday. Bridges says that her fellow Stone County Agent Dan Akin along with Polk County Agent Susan Swem will be conducting the demonstrations. Swem is the handler for Astro who will be used in search and rescue and other situations as needed in the southwest Conservation Area plus be available to help with other law enforcement agencies.
