An area agent for the Missouri Department of Conservation reminds motorists to be wary of high water even after the rain ends.
Taney County Agent Chris Boyd says during this week's MDC Podcast that agents are trained in Water Rescues and that they have had several calls to assist in rescues for people trapped or those that have driven into flood waters.
Boyd reminds people that it does not take much water to push a vehicle off a roadway and that even though rain is ending, flooding will still be an issue for several days as the water reseeds.
Boyd also reminded area hunters that this Sunday is the last day of the Turkey Hunting Season in Missouri.
