MDC Podcast: Fishing Seasons Approaching

The Catch and Keep Trout Fishing Season at the Missouri State Parks are just over two and a half weeks away.

Chris Boyd, Taney County Agent for the Missouri Department of Conservation, says on this week's edition of the MDC Podcast that anglers wanting to take part in the opener need to have their current fishing license in hand as well and purchasing the daily limit tags. Boyd also reminds anglers going to Roaring River State Park near Cassville or other state parks to arrive early to be ready for the starting gun at sunrise. 

Boyd also talks about the Paddle Fish Season which opens on March 15 plus the upcoming Spring Turkey Season.
