While temperatures are cold, fishing in the area is not so bad for those that dress for the weather.
Dan Vanderhoef, Barry County Agent for the Missouri Department of Conservation, says on the latest edition of the MDC Podcast that while today may not be the day to hit the streams and lakes, the fishing is not bad in the area and success can be had for those that are prepared for the elements. He also talks about the upcoming opening of the Catch and Keep Trout Season March 1st at Roaring River State Park.
Vanderhoef also talks about the recently concluded Missouri Deer Season which saw an increase in the number of deer harvested from the recent five-year trend.
