Mayor Jerry Jackson Previews Big Week on Visit to "Around the Table"

Harrison has several major events happening over the next eight days.

Mayor Jerry Jackson along with Public Relations Director Donna Braymer stopped by KHOZ's "Around the Table" program on Thursday to talk about the big week, beginning with today's concert at Creekside Amp with headliner Hannah Harper that is expected to attract a record crowd.

Jackson said around the same time the concert gates open, across town Goblin Drive is expected to reopen in front of Harrison High School and Middle School after nearly three months of construction. Jackson added that the opening is just in time for the start of school next week. 

Jackson also talked about two major happenings next week which begins at 10:00 am Friday August 14 with the Ribbon Cutting then the opening of the newly constructed Business 65 Bridge in downtown. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 am on the south end of the Bridge with Jackson saying that people wanting to attend the ceremony can plan to park at Creekside Amp and be shuttled to the ceremony. Several people are expected to speak with the Harrison High School Band also scheduled to perform. 

The following day on August 15, Jackson reminded residents that T.J. Maxx will open their doors for business on Highway 65 at the intersection with Main Street. 

Jackson said the city working with multiple groups including Explore Harrison have made it possible for this many events to happen.
