Explore Harrison Executive Director Matt Bell was appointed to the Arkansas Tourism Development Foundation (ATDF) board.
Bell appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Tuesday to discuss the appointment. Bell explained that his involvement in Arkansas tourism consists of spans 15 years. His position on the board will allow him to impact the industry at the state level.
The foundation makes tourism industry scholarships possible for students. It also organizes the governor's tourism conference. The state cannot fund those things, but the foundation can.
He said the foundation is powered by donations as well as proceeds from events. Bell added that the group is all about securing the future of the hospitality and tourism industry. More was discussed on the broadcast.
