A Marion County woman has a history of drug issues now faces two more charges.
According to a release from the Marion County Sherriff's Office posted by KTLO, 44-year-old Elizabeth Ann Hughes of rural Yellville is facing charges of permitting child abuse as well as failure to comply with terms and conditions of probation.
Hughes was given probation on a possession and distribution of methamphetamine charges in 2023, and according to court documents, the revocation of her suspended sentence is based on evidence that she allowed the abuse of a minor and also a positive drug test. The specifics of the case are contained in a sealed court document.
Hughes is being held in the Marion County Jail without bond due to the failure to comply charge.
