A teenager is behind bars after being found taking a firearm to a graduation ceremony.
Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports the arrest of 18-year-old Trenton Ross of Yellville, on a charge of being a Minor in Possession of a Handgun on School Property.
According to a release from the sheriff's office, the arrest stems from an incident at the Yellville-Summit School Panther Pavillion last week during graduation ceremonies. Deputies were requested by the School Safety Office to come to the school after a student, later identified as Ross, had told other students he had the weapon. Roxx told officers he had been given the gun prior to graduation and only held onto it because he had no where else to put it.
Ross is in the Marion County Detention Center on a $75,000 Bond. Montgomery adds in the release that the investigation is continuing and other arrests are possible.
