A man is facing a felony theft charge after writing a check from a non-existent account.
Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander tells KTLO that 46-year-old David Dougan of Flippin is accused of writing the $9,000 check for buying construction materials from an area business, which filed a complaint when the account the check was written from could not be located.
Dougan was released from the Marion County Detention Center after posting a $25,000 bond.
