A Marion County man remains behind bars after being arrested last week for having sex with an underage female. Six felony charges have been filed against 31-year-old Rusty Shane Kennedy of Yellville.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, deputies went to a residence for a welfare check on a 15-year-old female last Friday. It was learned when they arrived that Kennedy was living at the residence and had been molesting and raping the victim.
The victim was taken to Grandma’s House in Mountain Home for an interview where she stated the assaults started about three weeks ago and had happened multiple times to her and another victim.
Kennedy is facing three counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault in the second degree. He is being held in the Marion County Detention Center on bonds totaling $50,000.
