A Marion County man has been arrested for assaulting a family member.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on Nov. 11 at approximately 10:35 p.m. authorities responded to Marion County 7013 for a physical domestic disturbance involving firearms.
Upon arrival a deputy contacted the defendant, identified as 50-year-old Daniel Robert Thurber, and took him into custody.
After an investigation was conducted, the victim states the Thurber prodded her in the side while she was sleeping and when she woke up he stated, “You want some of this too? I’ll shoot you too,” while she was laying in bed. The victim stated she was in fear for her life and was afraid Thurber was going to shoot her.
Thurber has been charged with felony counts of aggravated assault on a family or household member and first degree terroristic threatening.
He is being held in the Marion County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
