Marion County JP Appointed by Governor Sanders

An appointment has been made to fill a vacancy on the Marion County Quorum Court.

According to an announcement from Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Miles Wellein has been appointed Justice of the Peace for District 9 to fill the unexpired term of Joyce McCalla who died in September.

Wellein will serve until December 31 of next year.

To Republicans, Chris Carter and Tommy Dean Johnson, have filled to be on the ballot for the District 9 Seat in the March Primary. The winner of the election for the seat will take the position in January of 2025.
