Another area county office is shutting down temporarily due to COVID-19.
According to a post on the Marion County Facebook Page, the Assessor's Office will be closed the rest of this week and into next week due to the virus. The post says e-mails can be sent through the office e-mail at assessor.marioncounty@gmail.com for county residents that might have questions. The post also states that some questions may be answered through the office's website. The office is expected to reopen next Tuesday, January 4.
No other office is indicated as being impacted and the special meeting of the Marion County Quorum Court is still on for Thursday at 6:00 pm to pass the 2022 County Budget.
