A suspect in a recent shooting incident in Marion County is now behind bars.
Marion County Sheriff Greg Alexander tells KTLO that 31-year-old Leigh Blackmon of Flippin was apprehended after a high-speed chase Thursday. Blackmon was recognized by Deputies who attempted to make a stop but ended up fleeing the scene on a motorcycle with a female passenger. The chase eventually led into Baxter County where Blackmon and the female, identified as 29-year-old Chelsea Holland, were apprehended.
Blackmon is wanted for the shooting of a person in Yellville on October 15 and is being held on that and other charges in the Marion County Law Enforcement Center while Holland is also facing outstanding charges in other cases and is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center.
