Statements made by a patient at Cox Medical Center in Branson leads to his arrest in connection with a death in Arkansas.
According to statements released by both the Branson Police Department and Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell, Jeffrey Stansbery of St. Joe, Arkansas had gone to the hospital to seek treatment for a medical condition. While there, Stansbery made comments about possible harm he had done to a female. Hospital personnel contacted the Searcy County Sheriff's Office who in turned contacted Branson PD asking officers interview Stansbery, who told the officers the same story about possibly harming a female.
Searcy County Officers, later joined by the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division, searched Stansbery residence in St. Joe and discovered a deceased female who's body had been concealed.
Stansbery was arrested by Branson PD and will soon be returned to Searcy County where he will face charges of Capital Murder and Abuse of a Corpse.
