A man from Marshall is in the Searcy County Jail after an incident in March plus a search that led to the discovery of child pornography.
According to probable cause affidavits filed by the Marshall Police Department, 43-year-old Joshua Dale Farris is charged with offering a teen a ride then making unwanted advances to him then attempting to hit him with his car after the teen refused his advances. As officers were investigating that incident, they obtained a warrant to search his phone which led to the discovery of videos and pictures of child pornography.
Farris is facing four felony charges for this and other incidents. He is being held in the Searcy County Jail without bond.
