A man from Iowa has died and three others injured in a golf cart accident near Hollister Sunday evening.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, that crash occurred around 6:45 on Tall Timbers Road when the cart failed to negotiate a curve traveling off the ride side of the road going airborne and striking an embankment. All four people on the vehicle were ejected with the 38-year-old male driver pronounced dead at the scene. A 39-year-old female passenger suffered serious injuries while two other passengers sustained minor to moderate injuries and were taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
This is the 66th fatality worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2026.
