A Boone County man was arrested for threatening a neighbor’s son and her dog.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office dispatched to a residence off Olvey Road for a report of a disturbance. The caller told authorities the suspect, 28-year-old Stephen Thomas, had showed up to her residence threatening to shoot her dog and kill her son.
Before deputies arrived, Thomas returned to his residence. While speaking with the caller, deputies could hear Thomas yelling at them from down the road. When deputies arrived on the scene, Thomas and a female ran inside and refused to exit.
Thomas was arrested and charged with 1st degree terroristic threatening. He was released from the Boone County Detention Center on $25,000 cash bond.
