The Lyric Theater presents a look into life with its current play.
Director Leslie Austin appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to discuss the "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" stageplay. Tickets for the March 1 through March 3 shows are online. The show starts at 7 p.m. on March 1 and March 2. The March 3 show starts at 2 p.m.
Tickets are cheaper online than at the door. They are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors ages 55 and older.
The story is an "exploration into the journey of life," according to Austin. She explained that it covers life lessons and invites reflection on them. It's not a total comedy; there's drama. Viewers ought to know that adult themes and some language are present in the show.
Austin said she thinks that the show will offer parents opportunities to discuss heavy topics like suicide and death. While the show carries dark elements, the director said the positive is allowing the reality of death to impact how one lives here and now.
Later, she expressed hopes of doing work at the Lyric Theatre in the future.
