Long Tabbed to Lead I.R.S.

A southwest Missouri native and former U.S. Congressman has been tabbed by President-Elect Donald Trump to head the Internal Revenue Service. 

According to a post by Trump on Truth Social reported by Ozarks First, he has selected Billy Long to head-up the I.R.S. 

Long, a Springfield native, ran an Auction Business for years prior to being elected as Missouri's 7th District Congressman in 2011. Long remained in Congress until 2023. Long had run for the Senate Seat being vacated by Roy Blunt in 2022 but did not receive the Republican Nomination that eventually went to Eric Schmitt.
