Logan Slaughter talked about an Autism Awareness Meet and Mingle that's coming up.
Slaughter appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to promote the event. It will occur on April 14. "It's really just an Autism celebration for the community to come together, kind of like the Wear Blue for Logan Day that was a while back," Slaughter said. He said people with Autism are invited but so is the entire community. It will run from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Education, door prizes and more will fill the event located at Ruby's on the square. Slaughter also commented on a support group he's starting.
He said the group will attempt to gather often. It's a group for people with Autism, meant to foster a welcoming and inclusive place.
This and even more was covered on the broadcast. The whole interview with Slaughter is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
