Local Contractor Wins Boone County Regional Airport 10 bay Tee Hangar Project

A local contractor was selected for the Boone County Regional Airport's 10-bay tee hangar project, according to Airport Manager Judy McCutcheon.

McCutcheon said that during her appearance on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Wednesday. She talked about the terminal upgrade before moving to discuss other updates. The Boone County Regional Airport opened bids on Nov. 19.

McCutcheon said that three bids were made, but the airport picked Ben Bowser of Integrity Construction. The other bids weren't high enough.

The airport manager highlighted that the project is $1.6 million. Additionally, she revealed that the project is powered by three combined grants.

She said no airport has joined grants together in that way before. It was McCutcheon's idea, and it rose from a serious need for hangars. More was discussed on the broadcast.

The full interview with McCutcheon is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
