A law enforcement official accidently shoots himself in an office on the campus of the Lead Hill School District Tuesday.
Lead Hill School District Superintendent Tami Richey posted a statement on Facebook with the details, indicating the incident happened around noon in a private office when the individual accidentally discharged his firearm. No students, staff or other individuals were in the vicinity at the time, and the safety of everyone on campus was never compromised.
A letter was sent out to parents explaining the situation in more detail. The name of the officer has not been released by the district.
