The Harrison Police Department, along with the 14 th Judicial Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant Monday, June 8th at a local business suspected of operating illegal gambling activities in violation of state law.
At approximately 9:57 A.M., investigators served the warrant at the Internet Café and Sweepstakes located at 125 Industrial Park Road Harrison, Arkansas. The action followed an ongoing investigation into reports of unlicensed gambling machines and related criminal activity occurring on the premises. During the search, officers seized multiple items of evidentiary value, including electronic gaming devices, financial records, valuable items and cash believed to be connected to illegal gambling operations. Illegal gambling operations undermine legitimate businesses and can attract additional criminal activity.
Today’s warrant is part of our continued commitment to protecting the safety and integrity of our community. The investigation remains active.
Charges will be submitted to the 14th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s Office once all evidence has been processed.
The Harrison Police Department encourages anyone with information related to criminal activity to contact 870-741-5463 .
