A man from Kimberling City dies in a one-vehicle-crash.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 10:30 Tuesday evening in Kimberling City on James River Road when a mini-van driven by 59-year-old Steven Shook left the roadway and struck a tree. Shook, who was not wearing a safety device according to the report, was taken to Cox Medical Center in Branson with critically injuries and passed away early Wednesday morning.
The Kimberling City Police Department and Stone County Sheriff's Office assisted the MSHP at the accident scene. This is the 35th fatality worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2024.
