A Kansas man has died after being rescued from the Buffalo National River Saturday afternoon.
The unidentified 61-year-old Kansas City male was transported by ambulance personnel to an unknown hospital and later pronounced dead.
The incident occurred as the male was in a canoe on the river. According to witnesses, the canoe tipped over in an area between Baker’s Ford and Woolum.
Buffalo River officials are expected to release more information at a later time.
