Jeepin' For CASA is coming up.
Becky Greenwood appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Friday to talk about the event; it's in its fourth year. This year, the jeep riding fun will commence at North Arkansas College with an 8 a.m. registration; the ride will officially start at 10 a.m. $40 a jeep is required; however, other vehicles are permitted to use. Greenwood said that street legal four by four is recommended. The jeep ride takes a different route every year.
Vendors, food trucks and a silent auction are among some of what is expected at the fundraising event; not everything at the event is vehicle related. The funds go to Court Appointed Special Advocates or CASA. It goes to help children in foster care.
The event normally runs until 3 p.m. 94 jeeps participated in the first year.
There were over 200 jeeps last year. Rides are about three hours long. More was discussed on the broadcast.
The full interview with Greenwood is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
