A man dies in a motorcycle crash in Newton County Saturday afternoon.
According to the Arkansas State Police, the accident occurred around Jasper near the intersection of Highway 7 and County Road 3050 when the motorcycle driven by 64-year-old Robert Wortham of Jacksonville crossed the centerline then traveled off the road and overturned separating Wortham from the motorcycle. Wortham was pronounced dead at the scene.
With two other fatality crashes in Arkansas on Saturday, there have been 406 people killed in traffic crashes worked by the Arkansas State Police in 2022.
