American Legion's Callie Mondy said Friday August 15 will see another Jack Williams banquet award given.
This award banquet is put on by American Legion for EMS and first responders. There are seven categories of awards. The event will be at the Duran Center at 5:30 p.m. this year.
"We need people's help," Mondy said during KHOZ's "Around The Table" broadcast. She said they need people to buy advertising; she said the goal isn't to make money for this but show gratitude to EMS and first responders. Tickets are now being sold for $30 a plate.
Mondy also said ad spots are available for $30. Every donation or purchase made buys a ticket for a first responder.
