Investigation Underway of Fatal Stone County Fire

One person is dead and two others injured in a house fire earlier this week in Stone County.

Missouri Department of Public Safety Communications Director Mike O’Connell tells Ozarks First that the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting in the investigation of a house fire in the 800 block of Tilden Road, south of Galena that occurred on Monday.

A family member tells KY-3 News that the fire occurred at the home of Angela Beck, who was home with her two sons at the time of the fire. The youngest of the two sons died in the fire while the other son along with Beck surviving.

The Southern Stone County Fire Protection District and Missouri State Fire Marshall are both investigating the cause of the fire.
