Last week, Boone County Sheriff Roy Martin announced the death of an inmate who was currently in custody on felony related offenses.
According to the press release, 31-year-old Jerod Lee Miller of Harrison was discovered by jail staff to be unresponsive. Jail staff attempted life saving measures, but Miller was pronounced dead Wednesday night at approximately 11.
The Arkansas State Police have been assigned to investigate the in-custody death and determined there no foul play. Miller was alone in his cell at the time of death.
Miller’s body will be sent to the Arkansas Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.
