A meeting will be held prior to this week's Harrison City Council to answer questions about the proposed ballot measure for a Sales Tax that will include funding for the Fire and Police Departments.
According to a release from the city, the meeting will take place Thursday at City Hall at 5:00 pm. The session is part of a Special Meeting of the City Council Finance Committee and will include information about the tax that is set to expire at the end of the year after the initial effort to renew it failed in March.
As part of the City Council Meeting scheduled for 6:00 that evening, the ordinances to place the measures on the November 3rd Ballot will be up for final readings. The first reading of the ordinances for the ballot issued passed at the July 9 meeting.
