The Arkansas State Police works one fatality crash in the region this week.
The accident occurred Monday near Whitt Springs in Searcy County when a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Phillip Lister left the roadway then reentered the roadway turning over on its side and slid 200 feet before crashing into a guard rail. Lister was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Arkansas State Police have worked crashes resulting in 291 fatalities so far in 2023.
