The Harrison Youth Wrestling team was started by U.S. Marine veteran Rosendo Moreno.
Veteran and former high school wrestler Moreno appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to talk about the program on Tuesday. Moreno has 13 years of experience coaching wrestling.
He coached in Chicago before retiring. He said he came to Harrison because he wanted to return to coaching.
Before Harrison, he worked as a wrestling coach in Berryville. When he arrived in Harrison, he explained that he wondered why the city didn't have a wrestling program.
He told the story of meeting a man who helped him launch Harrison's wrestling program. Today it has over 20 kids participating.
Later, the coach talked about the need for funding. More information about the program is available online. More was discussed on the broadcast.
The full interview with Moreno is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
