How Much More Drought Levels Have Dropped Due to Continued Rainfall

Major Impacts on drought levels in the Lakes Region due to continued showers.

Except for extreme southern Ozark County which remains Abnormally Dry, the rest of the Missouri Lakes Region including the Branson area are drought free. Several inches of rainfall have brought moisture levels high enough to put a pause on drought conditions. 

Meanwhile, northern Arkansas also saw a major drop this week. Newton County dropped to a Severe Level while from Extreme while the areas southeast of a Berryville-Omaha line at a Moderate Level. Some areas of Carroll and Madison Counties have dropped down to Abnormally Dry or even seen drought conditions disappear. 

Saturday is the last day of rain in the forecast into the middle of next week with a hot, dry pattern setting in to the Lakes Region.
