Chrissie Larchez from Hope Cottages talks about Hope Cottages and the Thursday night Mom Palooza event; funds will be raised for the cottages at the event during Thursday's midday "Around the Table" program on KHOZ.
“Hope Cottage is a homeless shelter for homeless women with children,” Larchez said. They have programs to help them learn to live outside of survival mode by teaching them to be on a schedule. All of the work Hope Cottages does happens via fundraisers and community income.
“We’re always in need of volunteers.” Larchez said running a cottage is around $500 a month; they are currently running five and want to add two more. The other two will be bigger. Hope Cottages also aids with medical care, dental, and anything else their guests need.
The full interview with Larchez is available on the Around The Table Facebook Page.
