Homicide Investigation in Carroll County

One person is dead after an incident early Thursday morning in Carroll County. 

According to a post on the department's Facebook page, officers responded to a reported disturbance with shots fired in the rural Green Forest area. Deputies arrived to find one adult male deceased and another adult male with a non life threatening gunshot wound.

Investigators began an active investigation and spent the morning and afternoon processing the scene and conducting interviews. The decedent’s identity will be released once family members have been notified.

According to the release, the individuals involved were known to one another, and there is no threat to the community.
