The Hollister Police Department issues an alert for a man wanted in Callaway County.
The full police department release is below:
At approximately 8:24am Hollister police officers were notified that a wanted person, 39-year-old Gary Lynn Moore, was possibly staying at the Hollister Inn Motel, located at 11025 Historic Highway 165, Hollister, MO. Mr. Moore currently has outstanding warrants from Callaway County, MO, for parole violation, 1st degree burglary, receiving stolen property, and failing to provide proof of financial responsibility.
Soon after contacting Mr. Moore, Mr. Moore fled northwest on foot from the property. Officers pursued Moore on foot, losing contact with him just west of the Hollister Inn, and a manhunt ensued. Taney County Deputies, to include a K-9, and Branson Police officers with a drone assisted in
attempting to locate Moore to no avail. Moore was last seen fleeing south from Caleb Dr. by a bystander.
Mr. Moore is known to be violent and has a history of possessing a weapon, although one was not seen at the time of contact. He is described as being 5’10” tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt, blue shorts, and white athletic shoes. Mr. Moore has unknown tattoos on his right arm, hand, and neck. If located, please do not contact Mr. Moore and contact a local law enforcement agency immediately.
