The Ozarks continues to rank as one of the most affordable regions in the country, according to a new report from the Missouri Economic Research and Information Center (MERIC).
In its latest cost-of-living survey, Missouri was ranked as the fourth most affordable state in the U.S. Arkansas followed closely behind, securing a respectable 11th place.
The report found that Missouri’s overall cost of living is approximately 12% below the national average. The ranking is based on six key categories: housing, groceries, utilities, transportation, health care, and other goods and services.
